~ belitung day 1: east beaches ~
after the satisfying breakfast, we went to Pantai Tanjung Tinggi, more famously known as Pantai Laskar Pelangi. this is the place where they shoot the memorable scene of Laskar Pelangi (The Rainbow Troops) movie. and, boy, those rocks are huuuuuge!
because of the big rocks, there are many small, secluded beaches in between, so it felt like we had the whole (little) beach for ourselves. the water was blue green and the sand was sooo white and soft.
an effort to do a panoramic view, but the edge didn’t line up perfectly.
aina looooved the place. she immediately went into the water, even though she still had her dress on. it rained a little while we were there, but thankfully, it stopped soon. we all changed into our bathing suits and started to swim and enjoy the small stretch of white sand for ourselves.
the other side of the big rocks area were also very beautiful. the rocks are still big, but they are more flat on the ground. aina immediately wanted to pose there and pretend to be the singing Ariel the Mermaid…

after walking around and playing on the beach, we finally got hungry. and we went to the Rumah Makan Rindu Pantai, right on the Tanjung Tinggi Beach. and that was one of the most delicious seafood lunch we’ve ever had… sooo fresh (and sooo cheap)! the highlight was the Rajungan (salt-water crab). they have a few live rajungan, still blue and healthy. the meat was soooo sweet. aina couldn’t get enough of it, even though the masak sambal one was quite spicy. the fish was very fresh… it was such a satisfying meal.
after the meal, we drove to Tanjung Kelayang beach, as a preview… tomorrow, when we’re doing island-hopping, we’ll depart from here on one of the boats below. the beach is soooo pretty and very different than the Tanjung Tinggi beach. they both have a very soft white sand, but Tanjung Kelayang is very flat with no big rocks whatsoever. and because the sand was so white the beach looks very clean… the water was again, blue green making horizon seems to merge with the sky.
next: to Manggar, the city with a thousand of Coffee Shops, and Gantung.

baru sepotoooong! kan nontonnya dari DVD. lagi tengah2 nonton, trus DVDnya rusak. pas nitip dari sodara utk dibawain ke sini, sold out DVDnya. ini masih nunggu DVD baru nih :( padahal aina udah excited banget.
