expiration date 

aina had been working on the card for ari’s birthday since the beginning of this month. we had to hide the card in the craft room so ari wouldn’t find out prior to his birthday. this morning, upon waking up, aina presented the card to ari, and he brought it to work, to put it on his desk.

after aina got back from school, we did a little shopping, where we bought a cake and candles. unfortunately, ari was a bit busy with his work tonight, so we didn’t get to do the candle-blowing until late and aina has changed into her pajamas.

the last time we had a cake and birthday candle for ari’s birthday was three years ago, and the set up is still the same.
