~ bathing the plush ~
even though i have stopped documenting the annual plush bath since aina was born, we still bath our stuffed toys every year (1, 2, 3). this year, though, we ran late.
the last time snowy, puni, miru & goni took shower was right before we left for Japan last year. and it was in September. it is now December, and we haven’t washed them yet. snowy is very grey by now.
but the weather hasn’t been very friendly. it’s been raining every afternoon for the past month or two. it’s so damp that it took us 2-3 days to get our laundry dry (we don’t have a dryer at home).
so, i finally ask for help from cynthia if we could come over to her house and borrow her washing machine and dryer. she said okay… and the whole deal comes with zipped net bags, which is very important because the pandas’ noses come off easily. yay!
this is actually the first time for the pandas to be washed in the washing machine and dryer… i have always washed them by hand because i’m afraid to lose their noses during the washing process. and their noses are notorious for being missing. but i have to admit, i think the washing machine does better job than me. snowy and the pandas are very very white after the wash. all the stains are gone, even the light brown circle around puni’s nose.
aina can’t stop snuggle snowy and keeps saying, “soooo white! soooo soft!”
