expiration date 

lately, i’ve been carrying a lot more things in my purse. it’s strange, because even when aina was a baby, i carry less stuff in the diaper bag compare to now… it’s probably because of two things:

• i started drawing again. and this time, i carry a sketch book, drawing kits AND watercolor kits with me.
• i cycled, which means i have to carry cycling stuff like lights, pumps, some wrenches, etc.

and all those things are just thrown into my the bag, all mixed together. so a few things happened: my iphone got scratched up badly, probably from bumping into the pump, wrench or mechanical pencil — not sure which one… i also kept leaving something important at home every time i change bag. and lately, i’ve been changing bags much more often, thanks to the #365fashionshuffle project.

so, i decided to get more organized and started with making a purse organizer to make it easier for me to change bags. this purse organizer is for the regular things i carry (keys, wallet, phone) and the drawing stuff. as for the bikey stuff, that would be next, and probably will not be in this pocket-style oroganizer.

as i counted the amount of pockets and its width, it ended up as the longest organizer i’ve ever made: 1.13m! i was kinda nervous that it would be too long… but i think it ended up okay.

the fabric is from IKEA, which i bought this afternoon… it was done very quickly. and it fits well in the purse that i regularly use:

so, i’m very happy with the result. i can change bags easily! next, i just have to make the bikey organizer.
