expiration date 

finally, the Laskar Pelangi musical that we’ve been wanting to see arrives in Esplanade Singapore today. i bought the ticket months ago and got a pretty good seat (second floor, first row).

the the three of us rode our bikes to the Esplanade to see, which is rather fitting with the theme… got a rained a little bit on the way there, but it’s all good.

Esplanade was packed, probably due to the Malay Art Festival that’s also going on. but even with all that crowd, we managed to meet Yosi and the kids before going into the theater.

the show was delayed for about 20 minutes due to some technical problems. so, we had time to mingle and looked around. aina took out my sketch book and started drawing… i think we need to buy her own sketch book.

i think the theater was full… and i looooved the crowd. they were so enthusiastic and they made the experience much more fun.

the show itself was superb. i heard that it’s really good, but seriously, i didn’t expect it was this good. those kids can really sing and act! and the coolie dance is just awesome! the show made me laugh and cry… sooo goooood! the whole thing was sang and acted beautifully.

sitting there in the theater, with my cardigan cuff all wet from my tears, i felt so proud to watch such amazing performance from fellow Indonesians on a foreign land. it made me soooo happy. i wish i could watch it again.

but for now, i’ll just turn the CD i bought at the show and hear them singing again :) *turn on the CD*
