~ grey/turquoise diagonale shawl ~
finally, after so many set-back, i finished the shawl for Ozaki-san at 4am, the morning we’re supposed to meet with her… and i was so tired for staying up late to knit, i woke up too late and ended up arriving late for the lunch at her house. d’oh!
anyways, this shawl has gone through a lot. originally, it was pink and white. but i didn’t buy enough yarn and the store seemed to have stopped the supply… so on the last minute, i had to changed to a different yarn… so, it’s now grey and turquoise. i prefer the first color, but oh well… and because i had to restart knitting it with the new yarn, i barely made it finished on the day of the meet up.
the pattern is called Diagonale, which i found at Ravelry. it’s free to download if you’re a Ravelry member. it’s a very pretty pattern and quite easy to follow. i memorized the pattern after a few rows, so it’s a good piece to work during commute.
i like the result, too. it’s very soft, bouncy and pretty. i think it fits the Japan weather. hopefully, Ozaki-san likes it.

What a nice present, I think she must like it, and yes, it suits the wheather there. How about the other one? I like the pattern too.
the pink one? it’s still waiting for the next batch of yarn. i haven’t visited Spotlight since we got back from Japan, but if they do stock up more of that color, i’ll definitely finish the shawl :)
That’s gorgeous! I love love love the colors, and the pattern is really pretty.
If you ever get the urge to make another and need someone to pass it too…. ;-)
aw, thank you, meegs! i was kinda worried about the color, but glad that you like it. and about the passing knitting project, i’ll keep that mind ;D
LIKE!! that really looks great! what kind of yarn do you use?
the yarn is called Vera Moda - Faith. it’s a 2-ply lace yarn with a bit of mohair and wool… i think you can use any thin lace yarn to achieve this effect, tho :)
