fusilli with tuna + capers

this is a very simple recipe and only takes about 15-20 minutes to make (including boiling the water for cooking the pasta!). one of aina’s favorite, too :)

ingredients:
200gr of pasta (fusilli or spiral pastas)
180gr can of tuna in brine, drained
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large clove of garlic, minced
1 1/2 tbsp of capers
1/4 cup of finely chopped fresh parsley
1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
chili flakes, to taste
salt
freshly ground pepper

to prepare:
flake the drained tuna with fork.

in a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, capers, chopped parsley, lemon juice and chili flakes. mix them well. add the flaked tuna, and mix again. add salt + pepper to taste.

oops, here the bowl is small, but actually it’s much easier to use large bowl.

meanwhile, cook the pasta al dente. drain pasta and toss it into the capers and tuna mixture. add about 4 tbsp of water used to cook the pasta into the mix to give moist consistency. serve immediately.
