~ mother’s day picnic ~
hello, happy mother’s day!
did anyone do anything special today? as usual, we walked to Botanic Gardens. honestly though, with the super hot weather lately, we have been skipping the walk for weeks. today was raining in the morning, making the rest of the day more bearable.
we left home late afternoon, shooting for the cooler part of the day. we brought soap bubbles and picnic rug this time. aina was rather excited to go picnic and play soap bubbles at the same time. koda liked it too… she didn’t seem to mind the grass (well, she used to be pretty nervous about sitting on the grass, i don’t know why).
after the sun set, we went to have dinner at the garden’s food court, where i got to witness a Filipino maid got into a fight with her drunken boyfriend. the boyfriend was angry — i’m not sure why — then started to hit everything: the chair, the bag, the pole, even the girlfriend… in public. he also threw things on the floor — i don’t know what it was, but it broke to pieces. he also managed to broke the girlfriend’s friend necklace…
strangely, no one called the police. everyone was just sitting there watching them. after about 15 minutes of drama, the guy, still angry, walked out of the garden… then everything went quiet.
what a spectacle….

Btw, about the spectacle, I wonder what will happened if it happened here, in NYC. I bet some police officers will join the fiasco.

i think if it were happening in NYC, no one cared and just walked away… haha. i mean, it’s not as violent as most of the commotions i’ve witnessed when i was there. i just thought that it’s weird to be happening out in public in a strict country like singapore.
