~ aina’s first dress ~
well, it’s not exactly her very first dress. she already has two boxes full of dresses… it’s her first dress made by me! oh, i’m so happy that i can finally sew a dress for her.
it was a very simple construction… i didn’t have any pattern, so i just wing it and sort of copying from several of aina’s other dresses. but i think, the greenish fabric is gorgeous… i got the fabric from ninit, months and months ago. it’s very cute, isn’t it? the orange fabric was in my bin for the longest time. at the beginning, i didn’t plan to have a that orange frilly shoulders. it was supposed to be just a string going in to the neckline, and tied on the back of the dress. but after the dress was finished, i changed my mind, unstitch the top part and added that orange thing. i ended up liking it this way… it’s more colorful :)
she seems to like it too. and it matches her gap shoes (that she hardly wears…) very well! we went to Central for lunch and some shopping, and on the way back, we hung out in Clarke Quay… that’s where the photos were taken.
