~ challenge magazine pixel-art ~
ah, i keep forgetting to post this… our pixel art illustration was used for Challenge Magazine cover (and their cover story) for the March ‘09 issue. yay!
it’s a drawing of three real buildings in Singapore: the National Library, the Suntec City Building Three, and the National Museum. it’s not as big and as time consuming as the Navy Open House poster, but the national museum and library were quite tedious to do… a lot fun, but tedious. there is also little astronaut people, which is kinda cute. as usual, we put ourselves in the picture. so, you probably can spot me, ari, aina and koda taking a stroll in the illustration :)
anyways, we usually try to get the hard-copy of our work. but this time, we couldn’t find the magazine anywhere, until one of our prospective clients brought one copy to the meeting. from them, we found out that they got it by accident, too. they were having a meeting with their client at the National Library office and they saw a few copy laying around. so they grabbed one before they leave the office.
so, we went to the National Library to hunt this freebie magazine. again, we couldn’t find it in the library. so while aina and i waited downstairs, ari went to the 14th floor (or was it 16th? ah, i don’t remember) where the offices are. the secretary was about to throw the few remaining copies away when ari asked her if he could take some of them home. she, of course, were gladly gave them to us. we now have two copies to keep.
it just makes me think why don’t we just asked our client to send us the printed copy instead of going through all these… especially since Challenge is a free magazine. hmm.
Could you post the big picture, I wanna play Where’s Aina, hehehe…
Cool picture as always.
yeah, i’m planning to do that later. the picture is really big, so i just have to figure out the best way to present it… btw, i think you can play “where’s aina” from the pictures above :P
