~ aina’s cardigan - finished ~
yay, it done! after so many starting over, unknit, and some unfixed botches, the cardigan is finished and ready to wear. it ends up a little too big for aina. so i just tell myself that it just means she can wear it even longer :)
i was too lazy to block it. but with the way bamboo falls, it seems that i can get away with it. woohoo! (i hate blocking)
to be honest, there were so many mistakes in this cardigan. i tried to unknit and redo them as much as possible. but there are a few left out, because i found those when it was too late to fix.
in general, though, i’m very happy with the result. it was my first clothing piece i made (besides hats and scarves) and aina likes it. it makes me want to make more!
anyways, if you want to make the same cardigan, the pattern is available for free in ravelry or on Marie Grace website. i use bamboo yarn instead of the suggested cotton yarn, because i like the feel of bamboo. it’s cool enough to wear in Singapore. the pattern is rather easy to follow — even i can follow it! the only complain i have is it does give stitch count often, so it’s kinda easy to end up with too many or not enough stitch.
okay, that’s it for now. i gotta go pack our suitcase since we all are going to fly to Jakarta tomorrow late morning. except koda. see ya!
