~ skully camera strap ~
since we got the DSLR a little over a month ago, i’ve been trying to come up with ways to make it more personal. i thought about adding stickers, hanging danglers, making new and more colorful strap, even painted the camera different color. but stickers and paints will probably destroy the plastic, making straps takes a lot of work and planning, and the danglers will be plain annoying.
and then, earlier this month, whip up featured the camera strap slip cover tutorial from petchy… i never liked brand names written on my stuff, especially those with big, bright letters. so, this slip-cover is perfect! it’s so easy to make, too!
i was going to choose some bright, flowery fabric, but then ari would not be happy wearing it. and then, i found this grey, skully fabric in my stash that’s kinda cute but not in girly way.
so now, we have skully strap on our camera, yay!

thal, this is too cool! too bad I don’t have a sewing machine. Maybe I can do this by hand? Nnaah…:)
Btw, you must love your 40D. It’s one robust camera!
haha, thank you! yeah, i’d be too lazy to do it by hand… i’d probably just go out and buy it instead :P
btw, my camera is 450D, the cheaper version (plastic body). we thought about getting the 40D, but the sales guy at the canon showroom said that we better spend the money on lenses… which is probably true.
That turned out really cute :)
yay, thank you, Petchy! :)
