~ vivocity this weekend ~
the weather has been strange, if not annoying, lately. it’s either rain heavily or scorching hot. there is almost nothing in the middle… if it does, it only lasts about 2 hours.
we were planning to go to the Botanical Gardens today with aina and koda, but it was so hot earlier today, that we thought we’re going to end up with headache from sun exposure if we did go. so instead, we decided to go swimming at the public swimming pool nearby after aina’s afternoon nap. well, right after aina woke up, it rained. so, the plan was canceled again.
so we did what most Singaporeans do on the weekends… go to the mall. or go to Singapore’s biggest mall: Vivocity.
we don’t normally go to malls during weekends, because they’re usually super crowded. and it was… soooo crowded that the usual freezing AC of Vivocity felt quite warm.
aina had a good time playing at the children’s playground, though. a bit scared when she was chased around by another girl toddler, but a little bit of hugging made her feel better.
while we were there, we stopped by for dinner at Garuda, the Padang Restaurant. the food was so good, it ruined by attempt to trim my tummy.
sayur daun singkong, perkedel, sambel goreng udang + pete,
sup ayam (buat aina), kikil, dan sambel (ijo dan merah).
and what i found amazing is that aina actually liked the sayur daun singkong (cassava leaves dish). maybe i should start cooking this dish at home… it doesn’t seem that hard to make.
aahh.. i usually go there on weekends to shop at giant.
somehow saturday is less crowded than sunday (in giant, that is). but last weekend we went to giant tampines instead.
lho, elo suka ke vivocity ya? eh, kalo lagi kesono, sms ya… gue juga lumayan sering soalnya.
