expiration date 

we’ve never been to any Botak Jones, although i’ve heard about their huge portion and yummy food. so last week, when Oscar was here to fix my computer, we set a date to have lunch at Botak Jones in Clementi.

it’s located in a Kopitiam hawker center, very close to the Clementi MRT Station. aina get to sit on a hawker-centre-style high chair:

i was really annoyed that we forgot to bring our camera. so, pardon the quality of the pictures. they’re all taken with my camera phone. and it seems that i didn’t clean it enough that most of the pictures are blurry. oops.

anyways, it took us a while to decide which food to order. i finally ordered a mini cheese burger (yes, mini… i’m trying to watch my weight, hee hee).

ari got a cheese burger and cheese fries…

…and oscar got his cajun chicken.

we were lucky that the stall wasn’t crowded, so the order arrived quite promptly.

to cut the story short, we basically cleaned the table. it was certainly yummy… i missed having that kind of seasoned fries. even aina loved her burger and fries.

she probably ate too much and had extra energy, that on the way home, she wanted to climb every pole she saw. well, i have to admit that those poles around the hawker center were rather colorful. maybe that’s why aina went straight to them, hugged the pole and started to lift her feet up. she can’t climb them for real, though… i don’t think she has enough hand and feet coordination to climb poles yet, but she really did try…

   

anyways, we’ll definitely be back again. it was so easy and painless to go from our place. and we do miss eating that kind of food from time to time. although, next time, i will remember to bring our camera with us…
