expiration date 

yesterday, we went to Angelo’s and J’s house to celebrate Deepavali… aina had a great time playing with other kids, getting and wearing a bindi on her forehead and even got an ang pao, even though it’s not Chinese New Year. and as for us, i just couldn’t get enough of the Indian food served… it was heavenly!

despite living here in Singapore for almost 4 years, it was my first time celebrating Deepavali. i didn’t even know that it was a lantern festival to celebrate the homecoming of Rama from the epic story of Ramayana.

so, happy Deepavali for those who live in Singapore… (because apparently, the Singapore government says that this year’s Deepavali falls on the 27th instead of the 28th.
