expiration date 

i was doing my laundry this afternoon and had to do some hand-washing. so i went to the bathroom downstairs to grab a bucket. then i saw this little guy (or girl?) sitting right next to the toilet in the bathroom…

it was just sitting there quietly… so quiet that even Koda didn’t notice. it was camouflaged by the bathroom color, too. white against white is hard to notice… so i told ari, went inside, grabbed my camera and started to snap away. the dove didn’t even move. it was sort of posing for me.

finally, koda noticed. she got excited and wanted to sniff the bird. of course we didn’t allow her. then aina found out… she was so happy to see the bird and screamed really loud in front of it, but it didn’t budge. the dove wasn’t scared of us at all!

ari said it should bring a good omen. white doves bring good omen, right?

so i decided to delay the hand-washing and left the bird in the bathroom to have some peace (without koda sniffing and aina screaming in excitement).

after about two to three hours later, i checked back and found the dove had migrate to our laundry room… and brought us a lot of poop. oh no!

now i wonder where it came from… unlike other birds that stop by our house, it seems to be quite tame. one of my guesses is that the bird might be a lost dove from someone’s wedding… you know, sometimes, they release doves during weddings. do they do that in Singapore?
