expiration date 

around nine in the morning, there was a package from aina’s grandma in Australia. what a perfect timing since today, aina turns 5 months old! in the package, there are a few pieces of clothings, a baby sunglasses, and, the most important, the baby set component and cushion for Stokke Tripp Trapp that we bought a three days ago.

we wanted to buy the red Tripp Trapp, but the store doesn’t have the baby set in red. so i asked my mom if she could find it in Melbourne. she did, and sent it to me right away.

now Aina has her own chair… and she’s very happy with it, she didn’t want to get off the chair! i guess, it’s a new vantage point for her. and sitting with us on the dining table is much better than laying down on her pram next to the dining table.

koda is excited too, since she now has a new way of licking and playing with aina.

anyway, what happened last month?

…she can grab her feet. and lately, she likes to suck on her toes.

…she can sleep on her stomach without waking up crying.

…she spends most of her time sitting. she still can’t sit unsupported, but she demands to be upright most of the time. i guess, she likes the view better.

…she loves standing up, whether it’s on someone’s lap or on the floor. she’s acting like a big girl!

…she didn’t cry at all during this month’s vaccination shot… the singing Ernie toy at the doctor’s office really does wonders!

…she started solids! it didn’t go well in the first try, but now, she’s loving it more than her milk! with the new high chair, it’s even better because she can have her meal on the dining table, just like us :)

…ever since she started to eat solids, she sleeps more than usual. i guess it’s a good thing because we can work or take a nap during the day now.
