expiration date 

today marks the first day aina stepped into a bar. we went to the launch party of Sokkuan’s and Kuanth’s exhibition at the Night&Day Bar and Gallery.

aina was angry and fussy in the cab, on the way to the gallery. it was the cab driver’s fault. we asked him not to go through Orchard Road, but he did anyway. the traffic was a nightmare, and adding to that, aina hates sitting in an unmoving car. so she wailed and screamed everytime the car stopped.

by the time we got to the gallery, though, she was already tired and has stopped fussing. she then behaved very well despite the fact that the place was packed with people and there was a moderately loud music playing in the bar. she fell asleep not long after we got there. poor girl, all of her energy was spent on yelling at the car driver…

for us, it’s great to finally be able to go out and see some friends again. i miss hanging out like that. and i’ve been a fan of Sokkuan’s illustrations, so it was a delight to see Ms. Sophie in action. and Kuanth’s works are beautiful, as always. their works look so good together.

this means, ari and i can start going to galleries and openings again. this time, with a baby in the pouch.
