~ IKEA part 1 - kitchen ~

14 April 2007

last Monday, ari and i went to IKEA to get some furniture for the baby’s room. it’s about time, and i’ve been researching left and right to find a perfect (read: good but affordable) furnitures for the room. we bought a small wardrobe cabinet, drawers, and a changing table for the baby… and i managed to sneak in a table/trolley for our kitchen.

the furnitures were delivered on Thursday, but we didn’t have time to put it together, so today, we finally got the kitchen table done.

finished kitchen table

ever since we got our large dining table, i’ve been wanting to get rid of our old dining table and move it out of the kitchen. one of the leg is about to fall off and the top is warped due to humidity. so, i’m very happy to see the new, smaller table in the kitchen. it gives more space for storage and it takes up less space of the kitchen.

wow, goodness! does this mean that more cooking will come along?

err, that’s debatable. if cooking instant noodles or reheating pempek brought from Jakarta count as “cooking”, then yeah, more will come along ;P

You should cook more, especially with a baby on the way. By the 6th month, instant baby foods are for mornings only, day and night are blended foods that you cook.
