~ 23rd week ~
even though the tummy doesn’t look much bigger than the 19th week’s picture, believe me, it IS bigger. everything about my body is bigger. the bra size has gone up two cups since last month and i’m hoping it will stay the same size prior to delivery. i’m guessing it will be even bigger during the lactation period.
my legs are getting thicker and thicker, so i’m thankful for the knitted pants that stretch. so far, my hands and feet stay the same size, which is good because i can still wear my old shoes.
with the fast growing belly, faint stretch marks started to appear on the side of my hips. they are pretty faint that even ari had a hard time seeing them. but, still, i furiously apply baby oil nightly all over myself.
just like the books say, my nails grow much faster. however they get so brittle that they can’t even grow that far. after about 2-3mm long, they break, so i have to but them short.
i’m also getting dark lines here and there. the one that runs from the belly button down shows up during the 20th week. there are also faint dark lines on my armpits and neck.
the girl moves more often and harder, too. not only can we feel the move externally, some moves are even visible… sometimes, we can see bumps appearing and disappearing quickly, which is amusing to see, despite the discomfort. it does feel weird (and a little painful) when she moves too violently.
