~ 19th week ~
finally, in the past two weeks my belly has grown to the size where i actually look pregnant. even on my 16th week, people keep saying that they can’t tell that i’m carrying… i only look like i just had a big meal. and that’s not very flattering… because i take it as i look fat.
now, though, it’s pretty obvious that i have a rounder belly than normal people. looking pregnant makes me feel pregnant. and i’ve been wanting to feel this way for a long time! it’s okay to be fat when i’m pregnant :) so, yay! the belly makes me happy!
now, ari and i wonder how big the tummy will get… and will i lose my belly button? i notice a lot of people end up with an outtie during their pregnancy… does this happen to everyone? i have a very deep belly button. but even now, it’s getting more shallow than it used to. will it flatten out? or will it become an outtie?

spertinya tetep aja outtie..
ya kecuali perutku. gedhenya sama ama perutmu tapi tetep deep belly button..
ah, kalo elo sih isinya empuk… :P dulu corry jadi outtie juga ya?
hehe.. iya kalau corry dulu memang outtie gitu deh.
tapi kembali lagi kok setelah melahirkan :) kembali deep.
jangan lupa sering sering olesin baby oil / minyak zaitun di perut, biar perutnya tetep mulus :)
oh, that’s a good idea. moga2 jadi ga ada stretch-mark-nya. tenkyu tenkyu :)
luckily you won’t lose my belly button, but for my case it became a bit more protruded.
of course i won’t lose yours… haha. yeah, i think mine will be an outtie, too… it gets shallow so quickly!
I’m 32 weeks and some days. My belly only around my 26th/27th week really started to actually look like a baby belly. I mean, I could tell myself and people who really knew me could too, but to strangers, they just couldn’t see it. But now, I feel HUGE. Every part of me actually, feels huge. I’ve never seen the calves of my legs look so big before. And swollen hands, HA!
I’ve not lost my bellybutton yet. It’s still an innie. But a very very VERY shallow innie. Ryan took pictures just yesterday of the new and interesting things that my new bellybutton now can do.
ooh, i heard about that swollen limbs thing. am not really looking forward to it. that would mean that i may not be able to wear my wedding ring, which sucks.
and 26th week? i can’t wait that long! i love my new tummy :)
We had to get our ‘wedding rings’ in a larger size, at least for me, just so we knew that I’d be able to get it on at the ceremony. I’ve only ever worn one ring. My daughters pride that my mother got me in sixth grade. I never really take it off, except for when I roll out dough or something else that might stick in the stones. heh it’s a real struggle to get it off now, but I’ve YET to take it off and leave it off because of swelling. The swelling in my calves is hilarious. I no longer have legs, but tree trunks.
Oh dear, you’re showing now more than I ever was at 19 weeks. But then, you were a lot smaller than me pre-pregnancy (or heh even pregnant) than me. I could tell that mine wasn’t all chub but other people might have been unsure. Most likely they just thought I loved ice cream or something equally fattening. Now at 32 weeks there’s no mistakening the huge lump of baby that sits right at belly button level.
Have you been able to track/feel movement yet? Will you find out the gender? (Maybe you’ve mentioned these things already and I’m just forgetting. If that’s the case, blame the horrible heartburn that I cannot get rid of, even though its ten to seven in the morning and I’ve yet to get sleep because of it!! The last 52 days or so is going to be awesome I can just tell :))
ah, yeah, but you can always bring the rings back and ask them to make it slightly smaller later, after all the swelling goes down, right?
we (sort of) found out the gender (which is a girl) a few weeks ago. it was on my 16th week and the doctor said that it’s not 100% correct. so, later this week, on the next scanning session, supposedly we’ll find out for real. but we’ve been referring her as a SHE since then :)
we originally didn’t want to find out the gender until birth, but we had sooooo much problems with boy’s name. we got tons of girl’s name, though. so, i thought, if we know the gender, and it’s a girl, we don’t have to think about boy’s name anymore. and if it’s a boy, well, too bad… we just have to work harder, he he he.
about the movement, i *just* felt it this morning, as i woke up. and i just wrote all about it. what fun! i’ve been waiting for it!
WAAAAAAAAA!!!!cute belly!!!
hehe, tenkyu tenkyu :D
Oh goodness, you DO look pregnant now! How exciting!!! Does it feel heavy? I know, silly question.
actually, it doesn’t feel heavy. maybe not yet. it only feels weird — like there is a bag in my stomach — when i’m laying down. other than that, it feels quite normal.
my button was fairly deep too, but then it started to, what my hubby affectionately calls, “smile” and now it has a pouty bottom lip. i think outties do happen to every mommy-to-be, but it does all depend on how big you get. by the way, i’ve been following your posts for awhile but i’ve never gotten around to saying congratulations, so CONGRATULATIONS!
aw, thank you! and congratulations to you too! so i guess, all pregnant tummy got an outtie, eh?
Wow, you are really looking pregnant now! You look great! I heard that everyone supposedly gets an outie during pregnancy. It just eventually pops out near the end.
yep! definitely pregnant. i guess it’s just like what you said: it is flat for a long time, and all the sudden it balloons quickly within a few weeks.
hey, you sure look pregnant with that tummy. You know, my house mate is now on her 18th week, and hers is still nowhere like yours.
yeah, i guess everyone has different tummy size… :)
udah keliatan pregnant banget ya thal? but i did notice that too when i saw you in the airport last week… :)
udah lumayan. kayak yang elo liat di airport itu deh. mungkin juga karena angle fotonya 3/4, jadi lebih keliatan nonjol juga, hehe.
I love the belly! You look so cute! I’m glad that you are feeling pregnant now too… I’ve heard that inbetween stage can be hard. And I can’t believe you are almost half-way there already! Time flies!
yeah, the inbetween is quite physically (tired and sick) and emotionally (i feel uglyyyyy!) exhausting. but now, it’s just exciting! the belly, the movement… yay!!
definitely look pregnant! I had to wait ‘till the 6th month for my tummy got the swollen and pregnant look. So you are lucky! And I’m so glad that you are enjoying this moment. I think you are carrying a happy baby :)
yah, elo kan sangat amat langsing. kalo gue ya jelas lebih munjung duluan. ada lapisan lemaknya, hihihi.
Haiiiiiii!!!
