~ Chinese herbs pt. 2 + the growing seeds ~
it’s time to cook those Chinese herbs again. actually, i was supposed to have it a few days ago, but we kept forgetting to cook it.
we bought the herbs a day before leaving to Jakarta. at the beginning, this month’s tea taste very similar to those fisherman mint thing… but once i get further down the bowl, the weirder the taste. actually, this one has a slightly better taste than the previous month’s bitter tea. so you can imagine how i looked like last month if this today i looked like this:
meanwhile, our sprouting seeds have grown some leaves. the leaves don’t look like cherry leaves, so it’s probably the tamarind… or some other random plant.

aiyo… looking at your expression it scares me. LOL not a fan for any herbal tea yucks~~ btw, how do you know when what type of herb you have to drink? are the recipe from your parents?
haha, i’m no fan, either. and i have no idea the type of herbs in there (they look the same each month anyway :). i got the recipe from my in-laws and i can’t read chinese at all, so that probably doesn’t help…
bener thal…tampangnya sih pohon asem. kita nungguin berbuah aja deh…terus kirim ke chili entar barteran ama mangga kelapanya chili
kata papanya ari, dijadiin bonsai aja. kalo asem dibonsai, buahnya jadi kecil2 ga ya? apa ngga berbuah?
whoa, tampangmu sinchan banget… :) i know those evil-but-supposedly-good chinese herbs, i was fed a steaming hot bowl of it by a singaporean friend who claimed it would boost my stamina and rid my body of toxins… :-P you have to drink a bowl of it every month? :-O
yep, the schedule is to have it every month. and i thought it’s interesting that they actually taste quite different from one month to another, even though they look and smell exactly the same.
