~ baby fishies ~
about a week and a half ago, ari’s parents bought us a huge bowl and some floaty water plants. i was ecstatic! i’ve been wanting to some water plants like lotus or waterlilies underneath the bamboo plants on our backyard. we just haven’t found a good looking bowl… and this bowl is excellent!
the next day, ari’s parents bought us a few little fish to put on the bowl. having fish in the bowl prevents the pool of water to become mosquitoes’ breeding ground. these fish feed on the larvae.
i usually spend about a little time at least once a day to look at the fish. it’s fun, and koda enjoys it too. however, since it’s been raining like crazy for the past few days, today was the first day i could spend some time with the fish… and, wow… there are little fishies in the bowl! half centimeters, transparent fishes, swirling around… there are so many of them, maybe more than 40 of them. my fish just have babies!
i tried to take pictures of the baby fishies, but they’re too small and too transparent. my pocket camera refused to focus on them. so i could only take pictures of the moms (the orange ones) and the dads (the black with colorful tails) on the picture above.
now, i just have to think what’s going to happen once they all grow up… the bowl might be too small to contain that many little fish.

nice looking bowl! i had some guppies once and one day they had babies. i didn’t separate the babies from the parents and i went to work. when i got home, no more babies….save the babies!
oh no, seriously!? so guppies are cannibals, huh? scary… we’ll definitely move the baby out of the bowl tomorrow… we fed the adults this morning. i hope they don’t get too hungry tonight, so the babies can at least survive until tomorrow.
Oh ya? the fish has got baby fishes? so quick. it won’t be too crowded as they are of the small type fish, it will be nice to have many of them swimming around and round the bowl. Or you can buy a clear bowl put some of them in and put the bowl inside the room, they have long colorful tail, like dancers.
Papa bilang, heran sekali, kok ikan guppi bisa beranak begitu banyak, dan pohon lengkaknya juga kelihatan segar sekali dan uda bertambah banyak, yg di bawa ke Jakarta masih shock belum kelihatan segar. what a good fortune
oh,that’s a good idea, indoor fish bowl, that is. iya, kita juga kaget, kok cepet banget ya? kalo ntar kebanyakan, kata ari, dia mo jualan ikan, hihihi.
pohon lengkaknya kayaknya seneng banget nih… udah beranak 2… sekarang ada 5 pohon :D
