~ yummy lunches and pregnancy ~

01 November 2006

the best thing about having ari’s mom around is that we get to eat good stuff that we can’t get in Singapore.

today’s lunch: Soto Betawi… hurray!

soto betawi

this is one of my favorite food. i’ve written down the recipes, so hopefully, we’ll be able to cook it again whenever we want.

now about the pregnancy… the tummy cramps and pain has pretty much disappeared in the past few days and replaced with feeling sick. it’s not morning sickness. it’s more like all-day sickness, which is kinda sad, considering there are so many good food around (my mom also brought tons of food, cooked by my aunts and grandmother, when she came by two weeks ago).

since i feel sick quite easily, i seem to lose my appetite along with 1kg of my weight. but i think it should be alright.

i’m still getting my twice-a-week hormone injection (alternating on my butt cheeks!). but hopefully, after this week, i don’t have to have them anymore. i don’t mind needles so much, but it’s kinda pain in the butt — pun intended — to go to the doctor that often.

i’ve also been sleeping like a baby! i think i sleep 3 times a day, almost after every meal. and when i’m not sleeping, i still feel sleepy… this is a good thing though. prior to my pregnancy, i have a horrible insomnia. every night, i laid down on the bed, unable to sleep for at least two hours… i also scared to take day nap, because if i did, i wouldn’t be able to sleep at night. so, no matter how tired i was, i tried to wait until my bed time. and even then, i had to go through 2-3 hours of wait before falling asleep.

but now, as soon as my head touch the pillow, i’m off to the dreamland. how wonderful! it feels sooooo good that i don’t mind the pregnancy sickness so much, as long as i can sleep properly… yay!

yes, i demand the recipe. i know it’s easier just to buy it here but nothing can beat cooking on my own, right?

Oh you’re pregnant. Congratulations! When’s the baby due? :)

I’ve checked your blog after a pretty long and this seems like news (the baby!) . Also Ari’s new hairdo is cool. Just what I thought he should have.. but never suggested.. lest it seem intrusive.. lol
