expiration date 

i’m playing around with the Zooomr Beta. i know that i’m not even done with Vox, but Jeremy’s post persuaded me to try it out.

so, this is my first photo on Zooomr:

if you’re looking for a place to host your pictures, give Zooomr a try. again, i haven’t tried everything out, but Zooomr looks fun and pretty easy to use. you can easily add GeoTag your photos… (although it seems that i can’t zoom too close to singapore. i wonder why…). that way, you can see other people’s photos in your area.

one feature that i think is very cool, and currently unavailable in Flickr, is that “People Tag” feature. if your picture contains photos of other member of Zooomr, you can tag the picture with the usernames of those members. technically, you can just link it on your description, but i think tagging it is much cooler…

reading from their blog, Zooomr seems to encourage their users to use the service as image repository for their weblog. Flickr discourage you to upload images other than photos, so i usually try to refrain from uploading non-photos images on Flickr. so, now, i can use Zooomr for my illustrations and drawings. yay!

and another yay: you can upgrade your account to PRO account for FREE if you are a blogger… that’s pretty crazy…
