~ yasmina + chili crab ~

28 April 2006

Yasmina came by today. she was on her way to Milan and transited at Singapore for around 8 hours…

after hanging out at my house for a few hours, Ari, I and Rani took her to Chili Crab dining in East Coast Park (no… not Jumbo — it was Red House). we took a taxi, which probably wasn’t a good idea since it was rush hour… long queue and we couldn’t get through the line when we tried to call for cab. we picked Rani up at her home on our way to East Coast. the traffic is another hell… it took us almost an hour to get to the restaurant.

Yosi was supposed to join us, but unfortunately, she wasn’t feeling well — she twisted her neck in such a way that now, she couldn’t move it at all… whoa.

the dinner was great! i’ve never been to Red House before. the last time i had chili crab was at ari’s and my favorite restaurant: the No Sign Board in Geylang, which was months and months ago. we ordered baby squid, which was super delicious… i think it was perfectly cooked. crunchy and tender at the same time. not too sweet and not too salty. yumm. Red House don’t have Cereal Prawn. instead they have Butter Prawn, which looks and tastes very similar to Cereal Prawn.

now, where is the photos, you ask… well, sorry. even though i brought my camera with me, i totally forgot to take pictures. those crabs kept me busy! but Yasmina did… so when she arrives in Milan and have uploaded her pictures in her Flickr account, i’m going to steal some and post them here in this entry.

he he he.
