~ japan day 0: departure ~
the departure went nicely. ari and i had dinner at Soup Restaurant, which is one of my favorites Chinese restaurants in Singapore, at the airport.
KL Airport
since we took Malaysian Airways for our flight, we had a 1.5 hour stop-over at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). this is the second time i had a stop-over at that pretty airport. the airport reminds me of a really fancy mall… so many shops, so many sales girls with miniskirts trying to sell you perfumes, clothes all the way to workout exercise machines…
when we’re boarding, though, we got “random” checked. the check took over 10 minutes… a pretty long check. they stared at our passport and our Singapore PR card using the magnifying glass… weird. but we ended up becoming friends with the officer.
the flight to Kansai Airport was just like any other flight. ari watched a movie, while i played the video games… then, we slept for a while only to be waken up by the food tray.

i love your photo of KL airport…. i haven’t been to that airport in years. when i was there, the new building was still under construction and everything was a mess but i was amused by the “bilik menunggu khas” sign, haha…
thank you! i was surprised by the airport too. it’s pretty. they have a cylindrical glass wall with a garden in the middle of the airport, which was neat. the first time i was there, it was full of butterflies.
