expiration date 

Koda is turning 7 month old today. and i think, since we’ve passed the half-a-year mark, i’m going to stop doing monthly list thing. she doesn’t change as much as her early months, anyway. her big accomplishment this month is that she got spayed. since then, her behavior has been improving. she’s less hyper (although she still can be categorized as “that crazy dog”). she’s a lot sweeter and so attached to us. and her body looks more like a dog, instead of a looking like a cylinder with four lanky legs and a big disproportional head and ears.

well, her head is still big. this picture is trying to imitate her pose four months ago. boy, she looks so different!

many people asked us if we missed her cute cuddly puppy period and would trade this Koda with the cute 3-month Koda. honestly, we don’t miss it that much. the Koda now is much more sweet and cuddly compared to the time when she was small and looking cuddly. yes, she was cuter and fluffier back then, but personality-wise, she wasn’t too attached to us. she pooped and peed wherever she wanted. and even though she looked cuddly, we couldn’t really cuddle her. she would rather play and chew us rather than being hugged and kissed.

today’s Koda, however, would sometime come over and ask to cuddle. she would give us morning kisses. she will tell us, by nudging, if she wants to go to the bathroom. when we’re having lunch or dinner in the kitchen, she curls under our chairs. when we’re working on our computer, she goes and sits on our front door, which we always leave open, and watch people pass by. when we say “Jalan, yuk?”, which loosely translates as, “Let’s go for a walk, shall we?”, she jumps around in joy and immediately goes to where her leash is and sits in front of it, waiting for us to put it on her. when we sleep, she lays down right beside the bed and dozes off. when we watch TV, she chews her toy while laying down on Ari’s lap.

i think, we just love her more and more with each passing month, so we won’t ever trade her for anything.
