some time around 8PM, while i was filing bills and mails from credit cards and ari was throwing out the garbage, we heard loud booming sound repeatedly. we thought it was our upstairs neighbor having a party and jumping up and down the floor… but we soon realized it was the sound of fireworks.

we immediately ran to our bedroom window and saw this.

there were two sessions. i only caught the second session (damn tripod, it’s so hard to work with!). afterwards, there was a brief spotlight show. the sky was very smoky.
