regarding our moving, on the “immediate to-buy” list:

  • refrigerator done!
  • washing machine done!
  • mattress (and maybe bed frame?)

we got a good deal today. the store that carries the washing machine we’ve been eyeing for, which is a front-loader, only have one left. and it’s the display unit. and they lower the price from $S550 to $S370… we took it immediately.

as for the fridge, we ended up taking another display unit as well… i guess, the low price thing really got into me. we were looking for medium sized two-door cream or white colored fridge. but the pretty ones are all above $S900… while this one, the one we ended up buying, was only $S750. it has three doors, with separate compartments for fruit and vegetables (which is great!) and built in ice tray that looks like pretty easy to clean up. the color is not cream or white. it has the brushed aluminum look, which is not too bad. i think it would fit well within our white kitchen.

i’m so happy… woohoo! two down, one more to go!

next stop is IKEA… for the mattress.

seharian hunting perabot rumahtangga.. huhuhuu
trus pas ada pameran di jhcc, jadi waktu itu bisa dapet harga dibawah standar semua :)

wah, asik banget! sekarang ini, di Singapur lagi Great Singapore Sale. jadi gue berharap kecipratan barang murah dari situ… hehe.

asik ya thal. we haven’t been lucky to acquire our own house/apt yet. so we can’t buy big appliances yet. someday..someday…for now i just enjoy your stories;)

oh, no no. not yet. the house that we’re currently moving into isn’t our house either. we’re renting it, but it’s a bareboned house, completely unfurnished.

we’re planning to buy our own in the next few years, though. that’s why we don’t mind spending on large appliances :)

but, still, i’m soooo excited… hehehe.

justru gue dan robert lagi pusing mikirin nih barang2 kita mau ditaruh di mana. we both had our own apartment for years before we moved in together and ended up with 2 sets of everything.

now that we’re moving to milan (to a fully-furnished apartment) kita ga tau apa aja yg mau dijual, di-giveaway, dan di-storage.

to answer your question, thal, we haven’t thought about post-milan plans. gue pengen ke IDEO, robert pengen ke apple, dan kita berdua pengen ke SONY, huahaha… liat aja nanti nyangkutnya. kalo dapet duit dari langit sih, we’d start our own consultancy :-D
