~ new sofa and RIP DVD player ~

26 September 2004

ari moved to a new apartment sometime in mid-August. it’s a much smaller place — his old place is a three-bedroom apartment — and much closer location to the city. it’s located behind the Orchard Road, which is good. hehe.

since then, he hadn’t have time to decorate his new apartment due to his workload (freelance and the fulltime stuff). so, yesterday, we went to look for a small sofa… that way, we can watch TV more comfortably.

we found a very cute loveseat. it has a retro look… white suede with orange and green 70’s looking flowers and metal frame legs. and it’s tiny which will be good for his tiny apartment. we didn’t being a camera, though. and the loveseat will not arrive until next saturday… so no photo for now. but i’ll ask ari to take a picture of it once it gets to his apartment.

today, we shopped around for some gifts to bring home and had dinner with Rudy and Astuti at the No Signboard near Aljunet station. it’s near ari’s old apartment and where astuti used to live too.

…oh shit. we just fried our DVD player! we forgot to plug it into the voltage converter… argh!

hehehe, talkin’ about voltage converter. All of my electronic stuff are 220V while here is 110V. Yeah.. talking about underpower hehehe

Hi thal! congrats on the new flat and the wedding plan! I’m sorry about your DVD. It happened to our stereo too, we replaced the circuit breaker and now it works well again..

thanks :) i did the same thing to my stereo here in jakarta, and now it works fine. but for the DVD player, i think we’ll just going to buy a new one with 240V. at this moment, we have too many electronic gadgets that need voltage converters :P
