~ spiderman 2 ~

Spiderman 2 was cool. entertaining and cute. spiderman is almost a perfect boy: he’s strong, young, smart, and also sensitive. if he was rich, supposedly, he’ll be all that any girl wants.

ari and i just got back from Bugis Junction to watch Spiderman 2. you know how we usually discuss the movie after coming out of the theater? this time, we didn’t say much. the movie is entertaining, alright, but there is not much to discuss. we were more noisy after watching X2.

although, for a few moments, ari and i tried to figure out where was the outdoor train action scene was taken… until we realized that there is no such place in Manhattan.

the marketing effort in Singapore, however, is worth to note. it’s huuuuge! there were people dressed in Spiderman clothing repelling down from the Changi tower. there are more people repelling down from buildings in Orchard. Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst were interviewed by the MediaCorp TV… i wonder if they actually came to Singapore. and Mrs Goh Chok Tong took picture with a man in Spiderman suit during the opening… crazy stuff.

Hi Thalia, just want to let you know that I sometimes read your blog and love your writing =). Anyway, the outdoor train scene in Spiderman 2 was, I believe, taken in Chicago because I bumped into them when they were actually taking the scene. Small trivia but hopefully answer your curiosity.

ooh, no wonder! i thought it ooked like Chicago, but i dismissed the thoghts as i was convinced that Spiderman was in New York. so, it was Chicago all along?
