~ orchid garden ~
today, ari and i went to visit Singapore’s Botanical Garden. i wanted to see their National Orchid Garden (fyi, orchid is Singapore’s national flower) and planned to take tons of orchid pictures.
and we did. as much as the battery allowed us to. the camera’s battery went dead very quickly. how sad…. it also rained briefly while we were there, which caused the ground and steps became slippery. ari slipped while he walked down the step towards one of the lakes. he was lucky that the camera battery had gone dead at that time… hehe.
aside from those hurdles, the trip was amusing. their small rain forest area was very cool. huge trees are everywhere. we also spent a lot of time in their cactus and bonzai garden (which wasn’t big at all, but still amusing to me).
the photos of the orchids are in Botanical Garden photo album. the battery lasted up to the orchid garden. so, photos for rain forest, cactii and bonzai garden will have to wait until our next trip, where we’ll definitely carry extra battery pack :)
wow, i love botanical gardens! a colleague went to the singaporean one last month as part of a business trip and she said it was a really nice part of the city where you can get some peace and quiet.
thal, gue minggu ini ke jakarta loh.
this week? oh no, i’m still in singapore! i’ll be there on the third week of July. how long are you gonna be there?
i’ve reserved tickets flying back to NL on July 29th. maybe we still get to meet? kontak2nya lewat mas ote aja ntar, i’m planning to meet him too.
