~ long lost friend ~
you can say that it’s a mix of hangover and PMS stuff, but today i got a splitting headache that doesn’t go away. yeah, i went out last night, had a few beers without dinner (bad, thalia… so bad), and that’s where i get the hangover from. i broke my own “dinner before beer” policy”… aww.
last night, i went out with Nha² (A.K.A. Nishkra, i guess?). he was one of my best friends in Junior High, whom i lost touch about 12 or so years ago. he was one of those people that i had a hard time keeping track of. even if i wanted to find him, i didn’t even know where to start. i’ve asked around, but no one knows his whereabout. and finally… a few weeks ago, Friendster showed me the way… (heh, i know, right? friendster… ha ha).
it was by accident, too. i mean, how would i know that he would go by name Nishkra? and he lost so much of his baby fat that his picture is pretty much unrecognizable by me. well, it makes sense when i think the last time i saw him was when he was still wearing shorts from junior highschool uniform. ha ha.
and, boy, he has grown, alright. he now lives in Melbourne. he writes, he DJs, he co-founded a magazine (or was it two?)… basically, he does all these artsy things that i wish i could’ve done. he has a real smart and nice girlfriend (hello Anez ^^, i love the t-shirt!). he still has kick-ass taste in music and movies. and he’s still the sweet and warm-hearted Nha² i knew… :)
he took me to a few very nice bars (or do they call it pub here in Melbourne?) around the city. i didn’t know that the city have back-alleys with so many cool looking bars. man, i should’ve met him earlier. early enough so i can show ari around when he was here. oh well.
anyways, meeting old friends rocks. it’s like opening birthday present from your parents. it’s familiar, but there is always a good amount of surprise…. err, that was a bad analogy. nevermind.
