~ drilling + shark fin soup ~

21 June 2003

i woke up with drilling sound in my head. wtf? i, grumpy, walked out of my room with my bed head to see what’s up with the annoying sound and found some guy with saw and drill. he was making a hole from the hallway into the bathroom… ick?

i instinctively rubbed my eyes and touched my hair. i felt there are more than a few layers sticking out. bed head, alright. that was embarassing. i thought, maybe i should change from my pajama to a more appropriate outfit. or maybe i should just spritz some water into my hair to tame the bed head. or maybe i should find my parents and find out what the hell is going on here.

it turned out there are two strangers running around our house. they were electricians that my parents have been waiting for. they were installing new switches for the electric blinds, which is, unfortunately, located in the room right across my room…

i went back into my room, climbed back into bed, put two pillows above my head and went back to sleep. *yawn*.

later that night: mmm, tonight is the first time i tried shark fin soup. and, boy, it was delicious… and very expensive. i wouldn’t be able to afford it if i didn’t tag along my parents. thanks dad!

Shark fin soup is one of the famous delicacies (in countries like Singapore, for instance) which can set you back as much as $100 per order. It might sound incredibly expensive but people who enjoy it, they always say it’s all worth it. The more expensive it is, the better taste it has. It applies to anything else in the world, I guess.
