expiration date 

ari had his haircut today. since both ari and i had a day-off today, i tagged along. while waiting, i roamed around East Village in the rain, shopping for gifts to bring when i go home. of course i ended up buying things (read: CDs, a small purse, a comic books) for myself and a little cellphone cover that you can attach to your belt thing for ari. i think it’s true that when i’m not making money, i spend money. ooph.

speaking of shopping compulsion, if you feel like reading about my shoe obsession, i answered the Friday Five questions here.

1. What size shoe do you wear?
6 - 6.5 american size (37?)

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
there are 21 shoes piled up in the closet. and i think i have a box-full of shoes from a few years back. after writing this, i think i have been a shoe-whore-in-denial. my mom once said she can give up buying anything but shoes and bags. i thought, ha, not me! but i guess heredity is much stronger than will.

3. What type of shoe do you prefer (boots, sneakers, pumps, etc.)?
at this moment, i like flat sandals. anything with big toe divider, like flip-flops, preferred. last year i was into platform boots — four-inch high!

i have to come up with new likings since the summer is pretty much over.

4. Describe your favorite pair of shoes. Why are they your favorite?
when the weather is nice, i’ve been wearing this. they’re definitely one of my favorite pairs. they’re very comfortable and they have a unique look. but then again, my favoritism is seasonal.

5. What’s the most you’ve spent on one pair of shoes?
probably a few hundred bucks. it’s the dressy gucci boots i hardly wear. and when i wear them, my co-workers make fun of my walk.
