~ guerilla marketing ~

06 February 2000

we’re doing guerilla marketing at work. some people call it underground marketing. it’s basically putting stickers on public places… mild vandalism, more or less.

so, i got a bunch of stickers the other day… about 50 of them. those are nice looking stickers. if i have pictures of them, i’ll post it here. all i have to do is stick them anywhere people would see. ads on subways, phone booths, bus stops, walls… anywhere…

isn’t it illegal, you ask. i’m not sure, but i think it is. i’ve sticked many stickers, especially around where i live. now, i’ve become a bit paranoid. i keep imagining someone following me… and when i stick my hand out to put the sticker on that HotJobs.com ad on subway station wall, *click*… someone behind me put a handcuff over my wrist. “you’re under arrest, young lady, for vandalism…”

aaaah! and i’ll be spending my nights in jail, along with some woman who just killed her husband for forgetting to take the trash out. and there goes my chance to get a green card. “hmm, let’s see… you’ve been arrested for putting little stickers all over subway walls… sorry, maam, we can’t process your green card application.”

ok, maybe that’s a bit too much. but as i said… i’ve become paranoid.
