~ Ghost World ~

12 August 2001

we finally watched Ghost World today. and we loved it. so, you should watch it too. not in Angelika Theater, though. that theater is such a dump. half way through the movie, water poured out from one of the theater lamps on the ceiling to the seats two rows in front of us. they didn’t fix it until about half an hour later. i feel bad for the people who sat there. they probably got really wet and couldn’t even finish the movie they paid for ($10 per ticket in NYC, mind you). was it really the leak from the rain? i hope not. anyways, next week we’ll be looking for the comic which the movie is based on.

oh yeah, we also updated non-basic, our linky page. no more little guys, though…

Hi Thalia!

You can actually find the Ghost World comic at Borders, believe it or not.

Because of the whole crossover involving Chris Ware’s Jimmy Corrigan and Dan Clowes’ David Boring and their combination tour, all of those books can be had at most major bookstores.

Oh…and it’s a GREAT story. One of my favorites. Although, I’ve heard the book is a bit different than the movie - but in a good way…

Here is a fun link to Fantagraphics for an Enid doll.

SO CUTE!
