We were waiting at the vet when we met another Koda’s twin. Koda had been scratching herself again for the past week, and she seemed to be lethargic on certain days, so we decided to do a check up on her. And while we’re waiting, we met LeeLou, who looked exactly like Koda 12 years ago!
Can you guess which one is Koda and which one is LeeLou?
LeeLou was 2 years old, and Koda was turning 14 in a few months… Most of Koda’s black markings had turned to grey hair…. They are both Singapore Specials, the Singaporean mongrel/street dogs. For some reason, many Singaporean mongrels look alike… This was not the first time we met dogs that look like Koda.
The first time Koda met her twin was 12 years ago, when she was 2 years old… It was Libby, another Singapore Special, who had been living in Japan and Hong Kong.
Now that I looked at Koda’s 2-year old pictures, I realized that LeeLou has a lot more black markings than Koda, even when Koda was still young. Below, Koda is on the left, LeeLou is on the right, both were 2 years old.
They kinda look alike, right? Except Koda’s body is a lot more brown than LeeLou.
More of Koda’s younger photos… These were when she was around 2 years old.
Oh, anyway, regarding the vet’s diagnosis on Koda, she just need to eat more (very underweight), and that she’s just gotten old. Her vision is not as good as when she was younger, and she has probably gone a little senile… Oh well, a grandma Koda. I guess, it’s expected from a nearly 14-year-old doggie.
