HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, ALL! We seemed to be celebrating Mother’s Day one day earlier… The Mother’s Day itself is supposed to be tomorrow, right?
This morning, right after I woke up, Aina gave me two surprises: a bouquet of plastic flowers (above) and a heart-shaped flan for breakfast! She made the flan with Relly’s help, and decorated with butterfly candies.
I was so touched… I felt like I’m the luckiest mom in the world. Hehehe.
Then, later that day, after Aina finished her ballet class, the three of us (without Koda) walked around the Bugis area, mostly around National Design Centre. You see, lately Ari had been spending all of his weekdays out of the country, while Aina was super busy with her school and ballet classes. So we’ve tried to fit in a leisurely walk every weekend. That and a movie.
Then we ended up at Ma Maison Bugis for a Mother’s Day dinner. Ma Maison had this family package where the dad gets a glass of beer, the mom gets an ice cream, and the kid gets a toy. But since this is Mother’s Day weekend, they got this special thing where we could order a whole cake for the Mother’s Day. It was a mousse cake, and it’s very yummy.
We were too stuffed to finish the whole cake, though. Besides, I had a scoop of ice cream to finish, too (of course Aina lent a hand on that 🙂 ).
