We drove back to Kemiri with full stomach that afternoon. So we spent the afternoon sitting around in Joglo Kemiri’s garden. Aina and Rinjani was busy drawing and playing games on the veranda. The air started to get cooler as the sun descend…
And then, Mbak Tiah brought in our afternoon snacks: banana fritters, jadah tempe and hot sweet tea… Perfect!
Jadah tempe is a local snack that you can only find in the Sleman area. Since we were staying in Kaliurang, this is a perfect snack to have. It’s basically tempeh bacem and sticky rice in one dish. I’ve never had anything like this before…
And then, Budi dropped by to join us… Yay, more people!
Later that night, we had barbeque at the newly-built veranda where we had breakfast his morning. So while the boys we doing the grilling, the kids were busy playing games on iPad and the girls… we just laughed at the city boys trying to do BBQ.

Use the electric fan to keep the charcoal burning…
Photos are mostly at the Joglo Kemiri 2015 photo album.
