it’s photo time again for the little one. and we were very happy to see that we could finally make something out of the scan. when the picture showed up on the screen, ari and i could immediately tell there is a head and body…
“wow! we can see head!”
then, slowly we can start making out the hands, legs, back, neck… even the fingers of the hands… we can still see the beating heart.
the little one was in the perfect position for the examination. the doctor explained that she can also see the nasal bone developing, which is a good sign that there is no major abnormalities. she measured the fluid thickness on the back of the neck to see if there is a sign of down syndrome… so far, the test looks good.
not long after the examination was done, to our surprise, he/she started moving and kicking around…we didn’t know that even in such a young pregnancy, the fetus could be so active. the little guy (or girl) was really doing a kicking to the point where ari said to the tummy, “hey, hey… stop kicking!”
it was so amazing to see the legs moving up and down the screen. i mean, he/she is only about 6cm tall, but the whole movement looks just like a regular baby. and this is only my 12th week!
so, today’s doctor visit was very exciting. not only could we see our little one moving around, but also i found out that i don’t need to take the hormone medication anymore. yay!
now, we need to find a name for the baby. it gets a little tiring to call it “little one”…
