The NBA Yokohama was the last competition to go in this Japan Summer Competition trip. Thankfully, I think it was Aina’s best in the whole trip, too.
Since it was in Yokohama, we had to take a chartered bus to get there. The trip was a little bit over an hour, so our preparation started from around 4 in the morning (make-up and hair still took me forever to do). We also had to stop by convenient store to buy our lunch, because we would be staying in the venue from morning to night.
Another highlight today was that she could meet Nene, one of her friends and fellow Jco 4 in Cheng Ballet who had moved back permanently to Japan earlier this year. Apparently, Nene’s apartment was within walking distance to the competition venue. So she, her sister and her mom stayed all the way to the award ceremony, and Aina got to spend time with her pretty much the whole day.
In general, I think Aina was less nervous in this competition, probably because this was the last one, and she had been on stage a lot in the past few days. That’s probably why she did better than the other previous competitions. At least, this time she got 6-1 placement.
