Ari had been going to Hong Kong a lot for business in the past few months. So, when I was looking for a quick and easy getaway from Singapore, he suggested Hong Kong. I thought, what a good idea! The itinerary would be quite easy to make, and there is the Disneyland, too! And we could go for a pointe shoe shopping for Aina, if we have time.
Originally, on the 3rd day, we were planning to visit the Ngong Ping Village, where we would be able to travel trans-island by cable car, and see a large Buddha statue in the island. But when we landed on the Hong Kong Airport, there was a sign on the information booth, saying that the cable car to the Ngong Ping Village is on renovation, and will not be open until 6 months from now… Yikes!
After a bit a a research, we decided to abandon the Ngong Ping Village plan, and change it to a day trip to Macau. Our hotel was only 5 minutes walk to the Hong Kong – Macau Ferry terminal, so might as well we try it out, right? So, our Day 3 ended up to be a Macau Trip, which was super awesome! I think we will be back and stay there for a couple of days on the next trip.
