Just like the last time she started to learn a ballet variation, I want to keep the video here in the blog so that it doesn’t get lost in the pile, and I can always come back to watch it.
Basically, on the 4th week of her pointe private lesson, Aina got her first variation en pointe, the one that she’s been wanting to learn from the beginning: the Silver Fairy of The Sleeping Beauty. She had always loved the song, because it’s catchy and fun to listen. So, when she actually got to learn the variation, she was very excited.
This video was taken today, on her 3rd class of practicing the dance. Her teacher, Mrs. Cheng, always goes over the variation on the last 5 to 10 minutes before the lesson ends (the beginning was mostly barre and technique). And the variation was not complete yet; she still needs to learn the last part of the dance and get into the details.
