It’s time for a new suitcase… again. Our current gunmetal suitcase(the one on the right) had served us well. It’s a no-brand suitcase we found at a random small shop (the shop doesn’t even exist anymore now) that costed us only $99. We didn’t think it would last more than 3 years. But it had doubled our expectations, so we’re thankful for that.
But it was about to die. During our Hokkaido trip, where we needed to wheel it on longer distances than usual, the wheels started to give out. Now, one of the wheels didn’t roll well, and started to squeak. It started to get very annoying during the trip to Jogja and Bangkok recently.

But you know, it’s hard to find suitcases that we really like. When we retired my greyish, blueish, greenish suitcase, it was because the lock was busted. And we decided to go for the zipper instead of the double lock type of suitcase. This time, we think we needed a suitcase with sturdier wheels. A better quality set of wheels.
So, we decided to go for a Samsonite. Hopefully, the wheels are better built. But lately, Samsonite’s designs were kinda wacky and crazy. We prefer the simple look. After going in and out of Samsonite stores for the past few months, we finally found a charcoal Oval Spinner at Tangs in Vivocity on sale this past weekend.

So, bye bye gunmetal suitcase… And welcome charcoal suitcase.
