It was the Kids Run time again… and finally Aina was joining the Sprint category, the competitive category. She was a little anxious about running by herself, but I think she was more excited about racing on her own. And this year, she’ll be in the same category again with Naia and Keira, like two years ago.
It looked like the race has moved permanently to Gardens By The Bay. We met up with Shinta early in the morning. She was going to run with Neishia, who was still half asleep this morning. Naia and Aina would run together. And this was their first time doing the competitive running.
Then, on the way to the pen, they met with Keira. So they ended up in the same starting pen, and they started the run together. But even though they start together, it was still hard to take a picture of them during the start. This below is probably my best catch… check them out in action at the left part of the photo.
We didn’t take a good picture of Aina during her run, because I was too busy screaming, “Go Aina, go! You’re almost reaching the finish line!!”, and forgot to press the camera shutter… so here is her nearing the finish line, running with her flailing arms at the back there.
…But we got this beautiful picture from Wisnu of her just off the finish line, walking towards the finishing pen. She said someone bumped on to her shoulder and it was a bit hurt…
The run was quick, because it was only 800 meters, and it seemed that these kids just literally sprinted the whole way. They finished separately, and got together again once we got them out of the finished pen.
Then, we all met up with the whole gang… the boys and the girls. And the parents.
