It’s that time of the year again: Cold Storage Kids Run! This year, since Aina had become a primary school student, she could participate on the Sprint category, which was the competitive category where she would run by herself. She was quite interested in running by herself… But I was interested otherwise.
Well, this year, the Kids Run made special medals for the Family Run category: both the parent and the kid will get a matching medals (prior to this year, it was only the child that received the medal). And I wanted the matching medals.
So, Aina gave in, and would join the Family Run instead… And she zoomed ahead the whole track, left me behind trying to catch up… as you can see from this Running Shots picture.
Oh yeah. This year’s venue was also changed from the Padang to Gardens By The Bay. I’m not sure if this is a permanent change or not, but honestly, the race organizer made a lot of mess this year. The running track was a lot narrower than in Padang, so, there were jam here and there. The delay on the start time got really bad, that the younger kids started about an hour late, leaving them all cranky… and by the time they started, it was raining. I felt so bad to those toddlers.
You see, the race started with the oldest group and ended with the youngest ones. For example, before we started, Nugra had already finished his run.
But for us, since we’re doing a family run, it was fun all around. We were not in hurry, so a little bit of a jam was fine for us.
Aina also met one of her ex-schoolmate from the kindergarten, Naomi. And they got to run together at the beginning of the race.
And since Aidan was also participating, Wisnu was around the pictures. As usual, his pictures were sooooo nice!
Then, afterwards we (the mamas) were very happy with their matching medals. I finally have a matching medal with Aina. And the medals were really cute….
The rest of the photos are in Cold Storage Kids Run 2014 album.
