so, aina’s winter hat is done. i finished it last night, around two in the morning and was very happy with the result.
this morning, aina tried it on and she seemed pretty excited with it. she even happily modeled the hat for me:
it’s definitely too hot to wear here in Singapore (especially with crazy hot weather lately), so the hat didn’t stay on long.
anyways, it’s a super easy pattern. it’s basically a rectangle hat. there is no decrease or increase to shape the hat. and after the top of the hat sewn together, you just tie the two ends with extra yarn (crocheted in chain) forming some kind of “ears” 🙂
the hat project detail is in my Ravelry page. the pattern is from a japanese book called Organic Cotton Baby Wear. i had to improvise a little because aina’s head is slightly bigger than what it is in the pattern. i added more stitches both on the width and the height, and change the hole pattern around a little.
