ari and i are probably in our lowest point of being unfit. we don’t exercise. we sit in front of computers all day. we smoke (although i just quitted)…. basically, we ran out of breath easily.
This won’t be a long article, I don’t want to start a big rant about how I don’t like how i fit into my bikini, a few weeks ago, we found out that our home is pretty close to a public swimming pool. so we planned to start swimming regularly. ari even bought a new swim trunks, since his old one was around 15 years old.
with hectic schedule in the past few weeks, we didn’t get to visit the swimming pool until this afternoon. i was planning to go for 20 laps, but on my first lap, i realized that i was probably too ambitious. i ran out of breath on my FIRST lap… how pathetic 🙁
after 10 laps (ari had 12 laps), we left. within an hour, i couldn’t move my arms up. i was surprised how quickly my arms began to sore. now, my triceps, back, shoulders and chest are hurt like hell. oh boy… i’m totally out of shape.
ari said that the best medicine of soreness is keep exercising. so, if my legs don’t give up tomorrow, i may go back swimming again… i’m keeping my fingers cross.
10 laps is a real achievement, no? no wonder you hurt all over.
I remember I tried swimming once and I hardly manage to complete one lap in one go (but then I never learned how to swim properly). I, too, sit in front of computer all day long week in week out, perhaps more than you guys do. There is a swimming complex under construction, virtually outside my flat’s window. It wont be ready until few months later, so I think I can still buy time to comfort my lazy arse to sit still : P

congratulations on starting to get in shape. I have been telling myself to start exercising every summer for the past three years, and it never happens! Maybe this time will be different…

yep, he’s right. Just keep swimming n swimming. Beneran deh, keep exercising emang paling bener. Daripada kek gue gini, makan terus n gag pernah olah raga..yang ada sekarang asam urat lah, ini lah itu lah.

thank you! the reason i start exercising is because i just stopped smoking and i’m afraid that i will gain weight… for girls, vanity is always a good drive 😉
